ABOUT ME...

Hi there! My name is Jack and I'm currently doing my masters in public history at Royal Holloway. I graduated from Royal Holloway in July 2024 with a degree in History. While my academic interests are firmly rooted in the past, I'm also passionate about fashion and love exploring the intersection of style and history. The main periods of interest are Tudor fashion and 20th century fashion.  I've always found that the clothes we wear can tell a powerful story about who we are and where we come from, and I enjoy examining the ways in which fashion has evolved over time. On top of this I enjoy investigating symbolism of fashion. A hobbie of mine that incorporates my love of fashion and history is drag, my drag persona Elizabeth the Thirsty constantly has one foot in the past and one in the future. But when I'm not buried in history textbooks, you can usually find me browsing vintage shops or exploring museums. I'm excited to share my love of both history and fashion with you through this blog, and hope you'll join me on this journey of discovery!
