ABOUT ME...
In a Nutshell
Hi there! My name is Elizabeth the Thirsty, the drag queen historian. I combine two of my biggest passions; history and drag to create my drag persona. By day I am creating history social media content and by night you can see me strutting my stuff to some pop bangers with a history twist. I'm currently doing my masters in public history at Royal Holloway. I graduated from Royal Holloway in July 2024 with a degree in History. While my academic interests are firmly rooted in the past, I'm also passionate about fashion and love exploring the intersection of style and history. The main periods of interest are Tudor fashion and 20th century fashion. I've always found that the clothes we wear can tell a powerful story about who we are and where we come from, and I enjoy examining the ways in which fashion has evolved over time. On top of this I enjoy investigating symbolism of fashion. I always try to incorporate my love of fashion into my drag, where I often dress in historical clothing but with a thirsty twist. But when I'm not buried in history textbooks, you can usually find me browsing vintage shops or exploring museums. I'm excited to share my love of both history and fashion with you through this blog, and hope you'll join me on this journey of discovery!
